Elizabeth “Liza” A. Favaro of Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C Authors Supreme Court Amicus Brief

TROY, MI – December 12: Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. is pleased to announce that equity shareholder Liza Favaro authored an Amicus Brief on behalf of The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel that was argued before the Supreme Court on December 11, 2019. The Amicus Brief in support of the defense position was filed at the invitation of the Supreme Court. The case, Smith v Merlo Construction Co Inc, involves premises liability issues and the distinction between premises liability and ordinary negligence claims in cases involving contractors working on the premises.  Ms. Favaro’s brief is available here.  For more information of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, please visit their website here.
