Elizabeth A. Favaro Named 2026 Leader in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Troy, Michigan — September 28, 2026 — Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Favaro, a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, has been nominated by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a 2026 Leader in the Law.

According to Michigan Lawyers Weekly, an industry publication serving the legal community, Ms. Favaro and the 33 other honorees recognized this year were selected for their outstanding professional achievements, significant contributions to advancing the practice of law in Michigan, and dedication to serving their clients, colleagues, and communities.

This year’s honorees will be recognized during the annual Leaders in the Law Awards Luncheon on Nov. 20 at The Mint at Michigan First Conference Center in Lathrup Village.

Favaro, who is a Partner in the firm’s Business Litigation Group, is a dynamic trial attorney with nearly 20 years of courtroom experience. She concentrates her practice primarily on the defense of corporations in product liability, consumer, personal injury, and commercial matters. She has managed and tried litigation matters involving a wide variety of disputes throughout Michigan and across the country, including proceedings in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitration.

Favaro’s practice is diverse. She works with a publicly traded consumer product manufacturing company on litigation and discovery strategies, as well as product liability matters. She also represents large insurance carriers in No-Fault coverage and litigation matters, as well as small to mid-sized companies in a variety of commercial and employment matters, including non-compete agreements, trade secrets, discrimination claims, insurance coverage, and franchise law. She is a speaker and author on these and other business law matters.

In addition to her legal practice, Favaro serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and is involved with organizations dedicated to feeding children both locally and abroad. Before becoming an attorney, she was an investigative reporter and news anchor, earning an Emmy Award for her outstanding work. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two teenage sons.
