Jared Trust and Jordyn Hawk Obtain Defense Verdict in Oakland County Medical Malpractice Trial

Attorneys Jared Trust and Jordyn Hawk recently secured a defense verdict on behalf of four podiatrists following a week-long jury trial in Oakland County Circuit Court. The claims arose from the plaintiff’s podiatric treatment and subsequent right leg amputation, with contested issues involving both podiatry and vascular surgery — including whether a popliteal artery aneurysm was within the scope of practice and what should have been done to potentially diagnose same.

Following deliberations, the jury returned a defense verdict in favor of the physicians. We appreciate our client’s unyielding support, the jury’s thoughtful consideration of complex medical evidence, and we are honored to have represented the doctors in achieving this outcome.
