WILLIAM H. HORTON ADMITTED TO AMERICAN COLLEGE OF TRIAL LAWYERS

Troy, MI, 03/17/2025 – William H. Horton has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the premier association of trial lawyers in North America.

The induction ceremony at which Mr. Horton became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of approximately 600 during the recent Spring Meeting of the College in Maui, Hawaii.

The American College of Trial Lawyers comprises the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in North America. Founded in 1950, the College is an invitation only fellowship. The College thoroughly investigates each nominee for admission and selects only those who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality. The College maintains and seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on important legal issues relating to its mission. The College strongly supports the independence of the judiciary, trial by jury, respect for the rule of law, access to justice, and fair and just representation of all parties to legal proceedings.

Mr. Horton is a partner at Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. and a seasoned trial attorney with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of Michigan State University Detroit College of Law and a newly inducted Fellow, he specializes in business and commercial disputes, employment law, and real estate matters, particularly in the automobile industry. He has successfully handled shareholder disputes, trade secret misappropriation claims, and non-competition agreement breaches. Additionally, he has extensive experience in intellectual property and software litigation and previously chaired the State Bar Information Technology Law Section. His expertise also includes riparian rights cases, having represented clients in courts across Michigan.

Also, certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Mr. Horton has earned widespread recognition. He has been named a Best Lawyer by U.S. News & World Report since 2011 and consistently receives Super Lawyer nominations. He also holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction for legal ability and ethics.
