Elena joins the firm as an associate in the firm’s Family Law Group. Elena focuses her practice on family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation.
Elena received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she was an Honors Scholarship recipient. While in law school, Elena received numerous academic awards, including Certificates of Merit for earning the highest class grade in Constitutional Law; Criminal Law; Evidence; Advanced Evidence; Personal and Professional Responsibility; Secured Transactions; and Trial Skills. Elena also served as Senior Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review.
While in law school, Elena was a member of the National Moot Court Team and a semifinalist at the 2014 American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also took first place at the Thomas M. Cooley First-Year Mock Trial Competition and later competed as a member of her school’s National Trial Team.
Elena is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She also serves on the executive board of the Zeta Tau Alpha Detroit Metropolitan Alumnae Association.
