Katharine (“Kate”) McCarthy has joined the firm of Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. as an associate in the firm’s Municipal Litigation Group. Kate worked as a summer associate for the firm in the summer of 2012. Kate attended Wayne State University Law School as a Dean’s Scholar. While in law school, Kate served as Editor-in-Chief for the Wayne Law Review. Kate was also an active member of the Wayne State Moot Court Team; competing in the Arthur Neef In-House Competition and the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition in New York City, along with mentoring other teams.
After graduating cum laude from law school, Kate gained substantial civil and criminal experience working as a Research Attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Kate received her B.A., cum laude, from The College of Wooster, and received her Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School.
