Ben Gonek Recognized as dbusiness Top Lawyer

He also has extensive experience in handling complex business litigation. He has arbitrated many commercial cases as well.

Mr. Gonek has successfully represented individuals being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Securities Exchange Commission, the Office of Inspector General, as well as various state and local law enforcement agencies. He has represented individuals either under investigation or charged with Federal offenses such as health care fraud, securities fraud, mortgage fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, environmental crimes, controlled substance offenses, RICO, computer related offenses. He has also represented individuals who have had assets seized pursuant to Federal and State Statutes for alleged violations of federal and/or state law, and corporations and individuals being audited by the Internal Revenue Service and the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Mr. Gonek has represented many public officials including attorneys, judges, emergency financial managers, and police officers who were either investigated and/or prosecuted for criminal offenses.

Mr. Gonek received his BS from Indiana State University, and his JD from the Michigan State University College of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and an enrolled Agent with the IRS.
