EXPERIENCE
Alexandra Hand is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s medical malpractice defense group. Her practice focuses on the defense of health systems and healthcare providers across a range of medical specialties from initial investigation through trial.
Ms. Hand earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she intentionally focused her coursework and practical experiences on developing strong advocacy and trial skills. She was a member of Moot Court and competed in the University of San Diego National Criminal Procedure Tournament. She also received Book Awards in Evidence, Federal Criminal Law, and Criminal Trial Clinic.
Before joining GMH, Ms. Hand was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Wayne County, where she managed a substantial felony caseload and gained valuable courtroom experience in the 36th District Court. Before transitioning to prosecution, her practice focused on medical malpractice defense, including birth trauma litigation.
