Mr. Samir Mouawad is an associate in the firm’s Business Practice Group. His practice focuses in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, business formation, general corporate law, cannabis law, and trademark and copyright. Mr. Mouawad works with companies varying in size from large corporations to small business owners.
Mr. Mouawad received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Michigan State College of Law. He received the Scholarship for Academic Excellence in Corporate and Business Classes from the Association of Corporate Counsel. Mr. Mouawad graduated with honors in Sociology and a minor in Political Science from the University of Windsor. During his undergraduate degree, Mr. Mouawad was a captain and starter for the University of Windsor football team.
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Mouawad worked for FCA at the Windsor Assembly Plant as a Production Control Supervisor. He gained knowledge of the auto industry and worked closely with many OEM suppliers. Mr. Mouawad is currently the Antitrust Counsel for the OESA’s Young Leadership Council 7.
