Mr. Dunn has significant experience in air, water, wetlands and soil erosion permitting and enforcement, hazardous substance land clean-up matters, Brownfield re- development, and environmental real estate transactions.
Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Dunn has represented an array of Fortune 500 companies, including automotive suppliers and manufacturers, cement producers, chemical manufacturers and distributors, utilities and electricity generators, financial institutions, petroleum suppliers, metal coating and finishing companies, various municipal road and drain authorities and real estate developers.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Dunn held several environmental related positions in the private sector and developed particular expertise with respect to the design and installation of pollution control systems. He also has the distinctions of serving as a legal assistant for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and as a law clerk for the Michigan Department of Attorney General, Natural Resources Division.
Mr. Dunn is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He received his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and was admitted to practice in Michigan in 1996. He is a member of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. Court of Appeals, 6th Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia, and U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan.
