EXPERIENCE

Timothy D. Finegan focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation Defense, No Fault and First Party Motor Vehicle Liability defense, Third Party Motor Vehicle Liability defense, General Liability and Premises Liability defense. He is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and in the U.S. Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and a Section member of the Workers’ Compensation, and Negligence and Litigation sections of the State Bar. Mr. Finegan is active in The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers, where he previously served as director.  He received his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1986 and his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law in 1990.

 Mr. Finegan represents a variety of employers, insurers and large self-insured manufacturers.  He prides himself in bringing a “hands on” approach to the practice of law. He is available to his clients at any time, as he knows that questions/issues can arise on a moment’s notice. Mr. Finegan earns his client’s trust through hard work, top notch legal skills and through his years of practice.  He puts his client’s interests first whether trials, settlements or appeals are necessary to accomplish a client’s goals and objectives.

 Tim currently lives in Sterling Heights, Michigan with his wife, Jacquelene. They have 4 college-aged or older, children.  Mr. Finegan proudly serves on the Board of Education for Bishop Foley Catholic High School.  He is an active member of the St. Lawrence Parish where he has coached multiple sports, served as director of the school’s ski club, and managed the Parish’s golf outing.
