EXPERIENCE

Kristyn Recchia is an Attorney in our Family Law group. Kristyn concentrates her practice in all areas of domestic relations, including divorce, property settlements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, post-divorce issues such as child support, spousal support, parenting time and custody, as well as matters that impact the family outside of marriage, such as Paternity issues under the Revocation of Paternity Act, and Custody and Child Support issues for unmarried parents.

Prior to joining GMH, Kristyn gained legal experience as a family law practitioner for over ten years, a family law paralegal and an Oakland Circuit Court Business Court and criminal law clerk, providing her with a great knowledge base to draw from in her domestic relations practice. Kristyn’s background and legal acumen enable her to craft thoughtful strategies for even the most complex family law matters.

Kristyn supports clients during challenging and emotional times, guiding them through the legal process with both efficiency and compassion. Kristyn prides herself on her adaptability, attention to detail, and her ability to develop strong working relationships with clients by providing thoughtful, thorough, and efficient service while utilizing compassion and understanding. Kristyn puts her clients’ interests and needs first and works diligently and professionally to offer sound advice and a variety of solutions to their issues. Kristyn is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for her clients.

Kristyn received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Oakland University (attended Hope College as well) and her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Kristyn is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Family Law Section.
