EXPERIENCE
Liza is a shareholder in our Business Litigation Group. A dynamic trial attorney, Liza defends corporations in product liability, consumer, personal injury, and commercial matters. With nearly 18 years of courtroom experience, she has managed and tried litigation matters in a variety of disputes across the State of Michigan and the country, including in state and federal trial and appellate courts and arbitration proceedings.
Liza’s practice is diverse. She works with a publicly traded consumer product manufacturing company on litigation and discovery strategies, product liability matters, safety messaging, and sales documentation. She represents large insurance carriers in No-Fault coverage and litigation matters. Liza also represents a variety of small to mid-sized companies in various commercial and employment matters, including non-compete agreements, trade secrets, discrimination claims, insurance coverage, and franchise law. She is a speaker and author on these and other business law matters.
In her spare time, Liza spends time with her husband and two teenage boys and is involved with organizations that feed children here at home and abroad. Before becoming an attorney, Liza was an investigative reporter and news anchor and received an Emmy Award for her outstanding work.
