Alexis Gipson-Goodnough


Ms. Alexis Gipson-Goodnough concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense litigation, premises liability, and general negligence claims. She focuses primarily on the defense of healthcare providers and health systems from initial investigation through trial.

Ms. Gipson-Goodnough graduated from The University of Toledo College of Law, where she served as Head Chair for the Trial Advocacy Team. She currently sits on the board for the Public Interest Law Association, where she assists and volunteers in many community based initiatives. In this capacity, she advocates for human trafficking victims and assists in lectures speaking on the of modern day risk throughout undergraduate facilities. Ms. Gipson-Goodnough was also the 2017-2018 recipient of the Order of the Barrister for her success in the practice of trial advocacy and mock trial.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Gipson-Goodnough operated in house at a large health care system exposing her to experience with employment law, STARK investigation, HIPAA violation investigation, and EMTALA requirements. She also utilized this knowledge of the healthcare industry to assist in community based efforts with organizations such as ABLE of Northwest Ohio to promote the access of healthcare and legal aid to all individuals.
