EXPERIENCE

Dana VanDrew is a Partner in the firm’s Family Law group, bringing more than two decades of courtroom and litigation experience to the representation of individuals and families navigating some of life’s most consequential transitions. For over ten years, Ms. VanDrew has focused her practice exclusively on family law, earning a reputation for strategic insight, sound judgment, and formidable advocacy.

Ms. VanDrew is frequently called upon to address complex and high-conflict family law matters and has testified as an expert on issues pertaining to family law. In addition to her litigation practice, she has served as a mediator and as a Special Master, assisting the circuit court in resolving intricate custody and parenting-time disputes. These roles reflect both the court’s confidence in her expertise and her ability to balance legal precision with practical, child-focused solutions.

A skilled and assertive advocate, Ms. VanDrew partners closely with her clients to guide them through divorce, adoption, custody disputes, and other family law matters with clarity and confidence. She is particularly attuned to protecting her clients’ financial security and parental rights, while remaining focused on long-term outcomes rather than short-term conflict. Ms. VanDrew earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Albion College and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The Michigan State University College of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Family Law Section.
